Fresh and light food (like fruits, sprouts) is always better than fried and spicy food. Eat Breakfast like a KING, Lunch like a PRINCE and Dinner like a PAUPER.

1. While you are eating make sure that you sit in a cross-legged posture, as it helps to digest your food properly. Even while sitting on a chair you can keep your legs crossed. One should not eat while standing or with legs hanging while sitting on a chair. Remember animals eat in a standing pose. We are not animals.

2. Eat when your right nostril is ‘on’ or ‘alive’ (this means that breath is flowing more freely from the right nostril). If that is not so and lunch is served, finish your lunch and lie down on your left side, keeping a cushion under your left arm-pit, to activate your right nostril.

3. Make sure that you are eating in neat, clean and hygienic surroundings.

4. Do Not Drink Water Immediately After Your Meals. It is rightly said that “Before meals water is like nectar - only three sips! During the meal have it sparingly, like milk. After meals, water is like poison”. Completely avoidable. You should take only three sips of water at the end of your meal to cleanse your food-pipe. After an hour, you may drink as much as water as is possible.

5. No dieting, no fasting.
