The Sun salutation – Suryanamaskar


This is the most popular yoga for every day. If you regularly doing this surya namaskar every day in Moring with 10-15 min we got lot of benefits for health.
The only important thing is regularity of this yoga every day . Every body are able to do this yoga Sana which is at no cost with lot of benefits.

Posture: Surya-namaskar – English Name : Sun Salutation

The Sanskrit word surya means sun. Namaskar is the Hindi word for Namaste, from the root nam, to bow. Namaskar means salutation, salute, greeting or
Praise.


STEP ONE:

Stand facing the direction of the sun with both feet touching. Bring the hands together, palm to-palm, at the heart.


STEP TWO:

Inhale and raise the arms upward. Slowly bend backward, stretching arms above the head.

STEP THREE:

Exhale slowly bending forward, touching the earth with respect until the hands are in line with the feet, head touching knees.

STEP FOUR:

Inhale and move the right leg back away from the body in a wide backward step. Keep the hands and feet firmly on the ground, with the left foot between the hands. Raise the head.

STEP FIVE:

While exhaling, bring the left foot together with the right. Keep arms straight,
raise the hips and align the head with the arms, forming an upward arch.

STEP SIX:

Exhale and lower the body to the floor until the the feet, knees, hands, chest, and forehead are touching the ground.

STEP SEVEN:

Inhale and slowly raise the head and bend backward as much as possible, bending the spine to the maximum.

STEP EIGHT:

While exhaling, bring the left foot together with the right. Keep arms straight, raise the hips and align the head with the arms, forming an upward arch.

STEP NINE:

Inhale and move the right leg back away from the body in a wide backward
step. Keep the hands and feet firmly on the ground, with the left foot between
the hands. Raise the head.

STEP TEN:

Exhale slowly bending forward, touching the earth with respect until the hands are in line with the feet, head touching knees.

STEP ELEVEN:

Inhale and raise the arms upward. Slowly bend backward, stretching arms
above the head.

STEP TWELVE:

Stand facing the direction of the sun with both feet touching. Bring the hands together, palm-to-palm, at the heart.

Pranayam - For Health


In the present era of I- revolution Pranayam is not a new word. Pranayam has two words with in itself- Pran and Ayama. Pran means life and Ayam means to regularize, to control. So simply it means how to regularize life. Breathing is the grossest process of a living being. The first and foremost sign of life is, breathing. This is the reason why Prana is related to breathing, few people tell you, a partial truth. Prana is a type of Vata in Ayurveda. The most vital type of any Dosha is Prana Vata. This Vata is told to be seated in the lungs and holds on breathing, ingestion and other relevant activities. This is Prana and its regulation is Pranayam!

Why Pranayama is so important:

Let’s look at this simple example you were asked to lift a weight heavier than you. You were known that you couldn’t lift; suddenly you took a deep breath and locked the inspired air with in the lungs and you were full of power. Or when ever there is an emotional disturbance like anger, sorrow, grief or the happiness it is the breathing rhythm which gets imbalanced first of all.

On deeper level it proves to be a route towards spiritual enlightment because it unites us with the outer pool of cosmic energy.

Steps of Pranayama:

All the Pranayama techniques are performed in three steps namely:
Kumbhaka,
Pooraka and
Rechaka.

More or less all these three steps are there in each and every Pranayama technique. The only difference is the way these are performed and relative dominancy of one step over the others.

Kumbhaka: Kumbhaka means a water pot or a pitcher. A pitcher can be filled with water or emptied so is our breathing cage. This is the time period in between full inhalation and start of exhalation (Antha Kumbhaka); and full exhalation to start of inhalation (Bahya Kumbhaka). In this sense it is the resting phase of Pranayam as far as the breathing is considered and this gives it greatest importance for the regularization of breathing and senses. This period should be prolonged slowly and steadily.

Pooraka: Pooraka means to fill. So it is the stage of filling of breathing box with vital air. During this session inhalation should be as slow and deep as possible to get its maximum benefits.

Rechaka: Rechaka means to expel out i.e. the exhalation of air from the lungs. During this session one should be extra conscious as the body tries to get rid of trapped air as soon as possible and inhale the fresh air. But for best results it should also be as slow as possible.
While doing all these steps, one should be conscious to not go too fast. Do the way most comfortable to the body.

Health benefits of Pranayama:
In Pranayama the lung capacity goes on increasing so the oxygenation of blood. So now all the organs are receiving adequate supply of oxygen. This is the reason Pranayam is said to be rejuvenator for the whole body.
Oxidants produced as a result of continuous working of different body parts got expelled properly so the all organs feel afresh.
As regulation of breaths calms the wandering brain so it is of great use psychological disturbances.
It can be used as tool for spiritual enlightment.

Precautions:
One should wear very light clothing while performing Pranayama to ease breathing.
There is no hard and fast about the Aasana in which it should be performed. Do in the Aasana which is most comfortable to you. If sitting is not so much comfortable you may lie down.
The best timing for Pranayam is early morning before sun rise and after sun set. But there is nothing wrong in doing other times.
Try to control your breath when your head is boiling. It will relieve you from anger.

What is the correct way of eating fruits?

We all think eating fruits means just buying fruits, cutting it and just popping it into our mouths. It's not as easy as you think It's important to know how and when to eat..

IT MEANS NOT EATING FRUITS AFTER YOUR MEALS! - FRUITS SHOULD BE EATEN ON AN EMPTY STOMACH.

If you eat fruit on an empty stomach, it will play a major role to detoxify your system, supplying you with a great deal of energy for weight loss and other life activities.

FRUIT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT FOOD - Let's say you eat two slices of bread and then a slice of fruit.. The slice of fruit is ready to go straight through the stomach into the intestines, but it is prevented from doing so.

In the meantime the whole meal rots and ferments and turns to acid.. The minute the fruit comes into contact with the food in the stomach and digestive juices, the entire mass of food begins to spoil..

So please eat your fruits on an empty stomach or before your meals! You have heard people complaining - every time I eat water-melon I burp, when I eat durian (fruit from Asia with a foul smell yet delicious flavor) my stomach bloats up, when I eat a banana I feel like running to the toilet etc. - actually all this will not arise if you eat the fruit on an empty stomach. The fruit mixes with the putrefying other food and produces gas and hence you will bloat!

Graying hair, balding, nervous outburst, and dark circles under the eyes - all these will not happen if you take fruits on an empty stomach.

There is no such thing as some fruits, like orange and lemon are acidic, because all fruits become alkaline in our body. If you have mastered the correct way of eating fruits, you have the Secret of beauty, longevity, health, energy, happiness and normal weight.

When you need to drink fruit juice - drink only fresh fruit juice, NOT from the cans.. Don't even drink juice that has been heated up. Don't eat cooked fruits because you don't get the nutrients at all. You only get to taste.Cooking destroys all the vitamins.

But eating a whole fruit is better than drinking the juice. If you should drink the juice, drink it mouthful by mouthful slowly, because you must let it mix with your saliva before swallowing it.

You can go on a 3-day fruit fast to cleanse your body. Just eat fruits and drink fruit juice throughout the 3 days and you will be surprised when your friends tell you how radiant you look!

BANANA (SMILE) – DEPRESSION
